ODU Participated in AAPA Annual Conference

The Department of Decision Science and Information Technology of Strome College of Business in partnership with the ODU Open Seas Innovation Hub participated as an exhibitor at the American Association of Port Authorities (AAPA) Convention that took place in Norfolk, October 2019. The American Association of Port Authorities is a trade association founded in 1912 that represents over 130 port authorities in the Western Hemisphere, including the United States, Canada, the Caribbean, and Latin America.
The AAPA Annual Convention and Expo is recognized as the premier event of the seaport industry. The event represented a great opportunity to connect with senior level port professionals, suppliers, and other representatives in the maritime industry. The Department had the opportunity to promote its graduate programs and certificates, such as: M.S. in Maritime Trade and Supply Chain Management, graduate certificate in Supply Chain Management, graduate certificate in Maritime, Ports and Logistics Management. The Open Seas Innovation Hub promoted its activities in three industry clusters: maritime, shipping and logistics; aquaculture and fisheries; and flood mitigation and resilience.
